What's In My Camera Bag?
The common adage is that the best camera you have is the one you have with you. I get the sentiment of the quote but I don't really buy it, especially with my technie/nerdie disposition (need for specs, high-end quality and the such). Smartphone cameras these days are blowing our minds, and rightly so as they can produce some extraordinary photos even in low light. But I would never substitute a capable 'proper' camera for one. After much researching and purchasing and testing these past few years, here is the gear that's usually found on my person when travelling.

Samsung Galaxy Book Review
I've always wanted a convertible/hybrid laptop. I remember when Microsoft revealed the original Surface 'laptop' back in June 2012 and I was in awe. I'm still in awe: the Surface Pro or Surface Book are still on my wishlist. The idea of having the power of a laptop and portability of a tablet has a vice-grip on me and I very nearly purchased a Surface Book before getting my iMac. But they're costly things. Can other companies, offering less expensive machines, compete with the sheer weight and magnitude of Microsoft and the Surface brand? How does Samsung's latest convertible laptop, the Samsung Galaxy Book, stack up against Microsoft's own Surface Pro?

Samsung Galaxy Book - First Impressions
I have been fortunate again to receive another device to test. This time around, it's Samsung's competitor to Microsoft's popular Surface Pro lineup, the Samsung Galaxy Book. A hybrid laptop/tablet, this machine is packing some pretty good specs and hardware but who exactly is this 'convertible' for and does it perform both functions exceptionally well? Here are my first (albeit random and spontaneous) impressions after 48 hours of using this as my main computer.

Samsung Gear S3 Smartwatch Review
Despite having been around for a few years now, the smartwatch still finds itself in a slightly awkward and (some may argue) precarious position. The launch of the Apple Watch has helped increase its fledgling awareness but I would still consider smartwatches to be a niche produce (and I own one!). However, Samsung does not appear to share my views and has been very active in releasing new devices in attempts to entice consumers further. Its latest offerings, the Gear S3 Classic* and S3 Frontier, look to build upon the Gear S2 (still available for purchase as the cheaper older sibling). Whilst the Frontier is aimed more at the 'adventurous' wearer, I will be reviewing the Classic, the 'base' model and determine whether it is a worthwhile investment. Read on to find out.
